Turkey is not a place where skiing comes to mind for those booking their holidays but the exquisite white peaks of Davras are one of the country's best kept secrets. The closest of Turkey's big resorts is Antalya which is just a one and a half hour journey to the powdery slopes.

Two more highlights include the Minicity, a model town full of replicas of Turkey's most preponderant sites and the Pyramid congress centre, a replica of the Louvre extension in Paris.
For one of Europe's relative unknowns Davras is amazing and the scenery is breathtaking, set among a triangle of three crystal clear lakes, the largest of which is Lake Eğirdir. The ski runs in Davraz range from beginners to scholar black runs as long as 4km and more in distance. Of the activities on offer there is a choice of skiing, snowboarding, mountain climbing and more so large, small or family groups have a good number of things to select from. After a fun filled day or two hitting the slopes holidaymakers can head south for some sunshine on the beach and get back to their former Turkey holidays.
