Yes, free, nada, gratis. Some places are no charge to visit, but do charge a minimal charge for parking. There are many parks that are available in the metro-Atlanta area. There are county parks, city parks, state parks as well as national parks. To find where those parks are, you may have to do a little research. There isn't one all - inclusive site to tell you about everything. For county parks, you have to go to the various websites for each county. For instance, I live in Gwinnett County and they have a website that has all the parks located. Here is a website that has all the counties located on it, if it doesn't have the information you are looking for, try searching on the internet for the specific county or park. That website is www.n-georgia.com Same for the city parks. Some cities have more involved parks than others. Some cities have parks that are no more than a city block, others are much larger. In Atlanta, you can go to the official website, www.atlantaga.gov or you can go to other locations specific to the regional area such as the Virginia Highlands (midtown Atlanta) - www.atlanta-midtown.com .
